A dad is someone who holds you when you shout and cry, disciplines you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail something.

Parents are a blessing. We often take them for granted but they always think about their children first. when I was little I used to be so afraid of losing my parents or thoughts of losing one of them scared me so much that I started crying immediately. But I was most afraid of losing my dad. I’m a big boy now but I am still embarrassed that I am afraid of his death he is really old and that thought leaves me breathless that someday he will leave me forever. My mother is younger than my dad so I’m little less afraid of losing her that I care about her equally. I’m less fearful of her death but more of my father. Yes, I admit that I am closer to my father as compared to my mother. Thought of him not here tears me apart, he is in good health but at this stage of his life, we never know what happened the other day. I love him more than anything, he is the best dad in the world. Dearest Dad: “To the world, you are a single person but to me, you are my world”

I have never lost anyone close to me by death but I am so afraid of it that I never want it to happen to me.

Once I talked to my friend about it and he said I have experienced the same situation, just remember that if your parents never had you won’t be here to be grateful to them. You have this time in present to spend with them all no matter how much of it is left you have it here so spend it cheerfully with them and stop worrying about their deaths.

He further told me that recently he has lost his mother and I made him closer to his dad. His dad is pretty much old but at least he is here with him. It makes him love his father more. Just his presence gave him so much strength. Parents especially our fathers’ sacrifices a lot for providing for us. He gave us everything we deserve that’s why now I want to give him everything he deserves. He is a happy natured person never scolds us, always laughing and joking and made us smile. I still remember those days when he was young and used to take us to places and brought us our favorite food. I think my father has also sense that I’m terrified of losing him. He knows I am worried about him passing away soon, once I tell him my concern but he told me nothing to worry about and he is not going anywhere anytime soon but it wouldn’t lessen my worry for him.Thoughts of him dying breaks me down. I don’t want to live without him.

I don’t know how to deal with the deaths of your loved ones, and I wish it never happened to me.
